Self-adjusting irregular shaped cylinder Tank Roller is a special auxiliary welding machine which is used for welding cylindrical/rectangular workpieces such as tubes, containers, oil tanks. It is widely applied in modern processing industries such as tube making industry, pressurized container manufacturing industry, metal structure welding processing industry, heavy machinery manufacturing industry. Frequency controller is applied for the roller rotation of our company’s Tank Roller to realize stepless speed regulation. It is with low noise of mechanical drive, stable workpiece rotation, even linear speed of workpiece rotation. Each group of the tapered frame conducts self-adjusting within certain range of the workpiece diameter. At the time of minimum diameter, the lower wheels of tapered frame for each group are on the same horizontal level (The working ranges of Tank Roller with different tonnages differ from one another). The working ranges of Tank Roller with different tonnages shall not exceed the maximum diameter size.
When used together with other equipments such as manipulator, welding positioner, submerged arc welding machine, Tank Roller can weld workpiece girth and longitudinal seam, in which way it can improve welding production speed and thus maintain welding quality. It therefore reduces significantly the auxiliary welding time and work intensity for the workers, as well as improves the working environment and labor productivity.
1. Anti-channeling device: it applies section steel together with universal ball to support one head of the tank with high strength, which can effectively prevent welding defects resulted from tank’s axial rotation.
2. Roller: each set of Tank Roller is composed of four rollers, all of which are steel rubber composite wheel manufactured by the new hot press forming technique with the features of strong bearing capacity, high wear resistance, and high drive capability.
3. Roller support: It applies the structural parts which are fine finished by the cutting, tailor welding and annealing of high quality sheets to support and connect rollers. All axle holes are clamped once in processing with good parallelism of axle lines and small channeling momentum.
4. Base: Frame structure is fine finished by the welding and annealing of high quality sections and sheets, which ensures good rigidity and equipment’s stability in operation, and provides sufficient visibility of the equipment.
It is installed with horizontal manual adjustment unit to adapt to the rotation of various diameters of the tank, it is reliably secured by hand screw. The Tank Roller base is equipped with longitudinal traveling rollers which can move on the rail. The Tank Roller travels by manual pushing. 2-3 persons can push it to travel after placing workpieces; when rollers stop, the rail lock device can lock the rail without horizontal displacement. Lifting hook is equipped on proper position of the Tank Roller base for easy hoisting.
5.Horizontal shifting: adjust the distance of Tank Roller with screw for tanks of different sizes.
6. Rotary reduction mechanism: each set of driving mechanism drives the two rollers on two sets of Tank Rollers by two motors through worm gear reducers and chains separately.
7. Control system: The device’s control box is placed on one side of the base, control box can display status of the transducer, units in Hz, the device’s operating speed is controlled by the transducer's frequency, and stepless speed regulation is achieved through smooth adjustment of transducer's frequency. The device adapts imported transducer, enabling a wider speed regulation range, higher precision, and larger starting torque; it also possesses high reliability and multiple self-protection functions, maintenance free.
8. Operation:It can be used with welding special machine, as well as individual operation by remote control. Easy operation, simple and reliable.
